OLDHAM BM25 SENSOR, O2 (OXYGEN 0-30% VOL.), MEDIUM
920ODM6313780
Oldham Bm25 Sensor, O2 (Oxygen 0-30% Vol.), Medium
The Oldham BM 25 Transportable Multi-Gas Area Monitor combines the advantages of a fixed gas detection area monitor with the transportable qualities of a portable instrument.
Key Features
- Up to 5 gases simultaneously
- 103 dB at 3 feet audible alarm
- Ultra-bright flashing signal at 360deg
Specifications
- Run time of 170 hours
- • Resistant to harsh environment
- • Easily transportable - less than 15 lbs
- • 30 devices per network
- • 16 independent networks
- • More than 0.5 mile RF line of site
The Oldham BM 25 can detect between one and five gases, and is used for applications such as team protection, area surveillance, mobile or temporarily work applications and also locations where a permanent, fixed system is not suitable.
Up to 170 hours of continuous running time are possible with the Oldham BM 25, as it is powered by a NiMH battery pack.
The Oldham BM 25 monitor also has datalogging capacity of more than four months, as well as STEL and TWA values.
The protection of larger areas can be achieved using multiple units, which can be grouped using optional alarm transfer kits. Alarms are transferred from one BM 25 to the next. For long-term area monitoring in classified zones, an intrinsically safe trickle charger is also available.
Available as an option, the radio communication allows several BM 25 devices to communicate on the same network or to send information wirelessly to a controller.
The network topology used by the BM 25 is a MESH network. In a mesh network all hosts are connected peerto- peer without central hierarchy, thereby forming a net-like structure. Consequently, each node can receive, send and relay data. This prevents having sensitive points, which in case of failure, cut the connection of the network. If a node is down, its goes through another route.
Wireless communication is made via a 2.4 GHz radio and emitted power is less than 100 mW. Maximum distance between two communicating devices is 0.6 mile line of sight.
Mesh topology allows fast and simple deployment, high coverage versatility and high fault tolerance. It significantly reduces installation and operating costs of networks. These solutions reproduce the architecture of the Internet while optimizing for wireless.
The Oldham BM 25 Transportable Multi-Gas Area Monitor is suitable for a wide range of industries including refineries and pharmaceutical production. Applications suitable for the Oldham BM 25 include turnaround work sites, rig overhauls and fence-line surveillance.
"Plug-and-Play" Sensors Available: O2, CO, H2S, %LEL, SO2, NO, NO2, HCN, HCl, Cl2, ETO, PH3, AsH3, SiH4, CO2, H2, NH3, PID, XP IR, etc.

Explosion-proof HART (optional) RS-485 Modbus Stainless Steel Enclosure (optional) Programmable Relays (optional) 3-wire, 4-wire Installations Dual Gas Sensing (optional) Remote Sensing (optional) Large Sensor Offering – Electrochemical, Catalytic and Infrared Easy to use Smart Sensor Non-Intrusive Calibration Dual-channel split-screen LED display Other features and benefits Dual Gas Sensing: The iTrans 2 can detect and display up to two gases on certain models. Both gas sensors may be mounted directly to the transmitter, or may be mounted remotely. Wide Sensor Offering: The iTrans 2 supports Electrochemical, Catalytic Bead and Infrared sensors. The iTrans 2 is available for most common industrial gases, allowing of standardization for your gas detection equipment. Smart Sensors: The iTrans 2‘s smart sensors come factory pre-calibrated and automatically send sensor information, such as sensor life, to the transmitter. A sensor life indicator is displayed immediately after each calibration. Dual-channel split-screen LED display: For optimum visibility in dark places Non-Intrusive Calibration: The iTrans 2‘s non-intrusive interface keys operate with a simple magnetic wand and allow for full transmitter configuration and calibration without opening the unit’s explosion-proof housing. Programmable Relays: The microprocessor-controlled transmitters are capable of independent operation or multi-point system configuration. With optional on-board relays, the monitor has the added ability of stand-alone operation, activating alarms, horns or fans, and can also shut down a system without the need to wire back to a central control panel. Multiple Wiring Options: The iTrans 2 can be configured to meet almost any installation application. Common configurations includes: 3-Wire (4-20mA) Models - Allow for full utilization of the iTrans 2‘s features and options and can be used with all of the iTrans 2‘s sensors / 4-Wire (Digital ModBus) Models - Allows for full utilization of the iTrans 2‘s features and options and can be used with all of the iTrans 2‘s sensors. HARTTM Communication Protocol: With the optional HART Communication Protocol, the iTrans 2 offers remote diagnostics, set-up or calibration by super - imposing a high-frequency current across the industry standard 4-20mA analog line. Stainless Steel Enclosure: An optional stainless steel enclosure for corrosive environments.
