No worker should enter a confined space without this robotic guardian angel at their side.

Robotic Panic

Fifty years before The Terminator gave us apocalyptic visions of the future,
the robot revolution had already begun.

In the 1932, an American newspaper published this startling headline:

1932

The accompanying article told a story about an inventor, whose robot suddenly fired a gun at him. The panicked inventor escaped with his life, and said he “always knew it would happen one day.” Is this incident the first of a massive robot uprising?!

Of course, it was a massive exaggeration.

Here’s what actually happened. Harry May made a robot named Alpha.
Harry gave the robot a gun and as he was reloading the gun in the robot’s hand, it accidentally discharged and burned his hand.

I guess clickbait has always existed in one form or another!

In the 1930s, musicians were afraid that recorded music would destroy their livelihoods.
Today, some people scapegoat videogames for normalising violence.

As a safety company, we at PDS embrace technology because it’s an incredible tool for keeping us safe.
Take this product for example!

The Blackline Personal Monitor is a device that simply wouldn’t have been possible a generation ago. It automatically logs worker activity, sends an automatic distress call when it senses danger, and can be configured to detect a large variety of gases.
